SYMBIOSISM

SPRING/SUMMER 15

For his Spring Summer 2015 collection, Boris Bidjan Saberi pushes forward tailoring purposes by exploring the limits of garments adaptability. Quoting Bundeswehr’s influences, Symbiosism shifts military gear essentials into sophisticated yet shielding silhouettes. Bridging the gap between garments and organic entities, the collection casts a glow on most practical and detailed cuts, revealing the designer’s expertise on functionality. Undrawing inner and outer traditional divisions, pieces show up a complex back and forth play, acting out like interlaced muscle tissues. Fibrous jerseys, scratched-like vegetable tanned skins, textured cottons and layered nets set an insightful parallel with organic structures. Other removable lining parkas and breathable shoulder slit shirts go along with backpack vests, hand dyed overalls and perforated oiled bock leather sneakers, precising a finish expertise and an insightful focus on practicability. Details show off brainy studies of functional declension. Passing through zippers reveal hidden mesh linings. Anatomical opened seams scoup out tailored shirts and fitted jackets. Taped seams swarm over lining less jackets, meshing yokes disrupt classical joining sites. A range of frontal zipper boots, interwoven sharp-ground shoes and leather hand moulded hats made in collaboration with craftman and designer Muñoz Vrandecic underline an accurate know-how and refined feel. Coming in a range of sand worn out beiges, toasted greys, brick brown and shady greens, the collection shapes a natural tones palette, which plays with subtle camouflage and mimesis borrowings. Highlighted by one off vinyl dripped jackets, Spring Summer 15 Symbiosism’s collection raises army-like tailored silhouettes, asserting Boris Bidjan Saberi peerless and very own handprint.
