BORIS BIDJAN SABERI PRACTICE CONSISTS OF RESEARCH THROUGH EXPERIMENTAL MATERIALS.
Almost all garments are subjected to elaboration or finishing by hand. The
visible stitchings are the artist's brushstrokes expressing movement and a
return to the human touch. It is a symbiosis of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary
design.
Saberi’s “inverted tailoring” technique reassesses the post-industrial size
measurement system. Rather than contorting to mass-imposed shapes, the
designer rebels by returning to the body as the modeling source.
