Boris Bidjan Saberi chose the city of Barcelona to perform the retrospective fashion show of his 11 years of work "RETROSPECTIVE OF 11 YEARS OF WORK OF BORIS BIDJAN SABERI", on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at 8:30 p.m. as a guest on platform 080 Barcelona Fashion. The German-Iranian designer is official member of the Federation of Haute Couture and Mode (FHCM), through which he presents his collections biannually during the Men's Fashion Week in Paris. For already one year, he decided to stop parading for now in the French capital, as a protest to the tight schedule set by the fashion industry. Following this decision, he chose to make a closing presentation in Barcelona, city where he began his professional career and settled brand's atelier and HQ. From his workshop and alchemist laboratory located in the neighborhood of Poble Nou, Boris Bidjan Saberi develops his research in innovative treatments on multiple raw materials and in pattern making to create garments highly adapted to the biomechanics of the human body. During this edition of 080 Barcelona Fashion, the Modern Pavilion of Sant Pau hosts the exhibition “0-11 by Boris Bidjan Saberi”, exhibited in 2017 at the Raleigh Museum of Contemporary Art and Design (CAM) in the United States. Eleven selected garments experimentally transformed into sculptures.
