The Boris Bidjan Saberi's Spring Summer 18 collection is inspired by the military explorers to present a new avant-garde army squad with some Ancient Japanese reminiscences and a touch of Bavarian tradition. Exploring new design possibilities, this SS18 collection uses innovative techniques producing unexpected results, combined with radical creations, totally in line with Boris Bidjan Saberi's experimental approach. In this new collection, the leather jackets are made out of vegetable tanned albino kangaroo, object dyed horse and cow leather An important garment of the military squad is the infantry pants, restructured from the base. The pleats and the seams mold the body. Saberi's designs could seem simple but many of them are in fact examples of precised tailoring, as the opened men's skirt reminding the traditional Bavarian Lederhosen. Another collection garment is the Tube Scarf, so multifunctional and elastic. The mixture between military object-dyed leather and cotton, and traditional kimono, appears to be a particular garment of this collection. The color palette is a variation going from sand, dark green kaki to pine tree and bold black. Although the most marked is horn-orange, used in the army. The result of experimental process is a new type of non-color brownish pink, coming from a waxed-cotton. The original black fabric remaining in the seam taping gives the originality to the garment. Boris Bidjan Saberi is not presenting a usual collection but a detailed exposition of his experimentation and creative signature.
